Amazon Prime Video has confirmed the dates from which it will introduce advert breaks in its shows.The move was first announced back in September as a bid to increase the amount of money it invests in making original content.Users in the US will start seeing ads on the streamer from January 29, while they will appear on UK and German users’ version of the service from February 4.Amazon said the move would “allow us to continue investing in compelling content and keep increasing that investment over a long period of time”.An ad-free version of Amazon Prime Video will be available for an extra £2.99 per month, but live content such as sports will continue to feature adverts. Daisy Jones & The Six star Sebastian Chacon has been accused of sexual assault by three women in a new lawsuit.A complaint filed on Monday (November 20) in New York accuses Chacon of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse between 2017 and 2022, with the alleged incidents occurring across New York, Los Angeles, and New Orleans.The women remain anonymous in the complaint and are identified as Jane Doe 1, Jane Doe 2, and Jane Doe 3.Jane Doe 1 alleges that Chacon groomed her when she was 16 and he was 24. She also accuses Chacon of sexually assaulting her in his home after encouraging her to consume alcohol, despite her then being below the legal age of consent.Jane Doe 2 and Jane Doe 3, who say they were in romantic relationships with Chacon, both allege that he strangled them during non-consensual sex until they lost consciousness, and that he continued to have sex with them.

IndieWire, a recent Reelgood audit looked into the libraries of eight leading streaming services in the US, including Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Peacock, Hulu, Max, Disney+, Paramount+ and Apple TV+, to assess their growth over the past two years.According to the data, Paramount+ had 2,302 movie titles available on October 17, 2022, which has been reduced to 830 movies by October 15, 2023. This means the film library suffered a 64 per cent drop, losing 1,472 titles in the span of 363 days.The TV catalogue on the streaming service, however, increased by three per cent.Max, formely known as HBO Max, was the other streaming service to see cuts.
