Police, the fire service and the ambulance service were called to Old Trafford this afternoon. A cordon was in place for around three hours while an investigation was carried out.

The search centred around a block of apartments at the junction of Northumberland Road and Manchester Street. Nearby Chorlton Street was also taped off.
