STRICTLY winner Bill Bailey wants Never Mind the Buzzcocks to return five years after the quiz show was axed by the BBC. The 55-year-old was a team captain on the hit show for six of its 19-year run alongside Phill Jupitus.

The BBC 2 show began in 1996 but was eventually axed by bosses in 2015, and Bill has revealed how much he would love the show to return.

He told The Mirror: "I don't think there is a show that's similar now. I don't think there is anything that's replaced it. “It's not like they've given it a reboot and changed the format.” Buzzcocks often saw the team captains and host Mark Lamarr - and then Simon Amstell - mocking the celebrity guests.
