AJ Pritchard 's Strictly Come Dancing co-stars have insisted they had no idea he was planning to quit the show. Earlier this month, the dancer walked away from the BBC show after spending four years in the pro team.

He's decided to pursue his dream of becoming a TV presenter alongside his Love Island star brother Curtis. Now AJ's workmates Karen Hauer and Oti Mabuse have confirmed they were blindsided by the news that he was leaving the show.

During an appearance on This Morning on Monday, Karen was asked if she knew of AJ's plans and she replied: "Absolutely not." She added: "It was a real shock to all of us, I had no idea. "We're definitely going to miss AJ and Kevin [Clifton].
