Storm Barra has rolled into Scotland with snow, gale force winds and rain so heavy that the country is facing 14 flood alerts.
The severe weather brought on 10 flood alerts by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency ( SEPA ) as the country is to be hit with heavy rain today and Wednesday.
Two flood warnings, which are more severe than flood alerts, have been issued in West Luce Bay in Dumfries and Galloway and Churchill Barriers in Orkney.
