Drivers have become stranded after becoming stuck in a flood beneath a bridge near Stockport. Pictures shared to social media show vans and cars struggling to drive through a flooded area underneath a bridge on Crossley Road earlier today.
The area, just beside Cringle Park, is a known flooding hotspot, falling victim to heavy rainfall numerous times over the past few years.
It has now been closed off, with a car and a van stuck within the cordon. It comes just a day after Storm Barra brought winds of 50 mph to Manchester.
