Parts of the country are currently under a red alert for wind – the highest warning level possible. This means there is a danger to life and serious risk of damage to buildings.
The warning started on Friday at 3pm and will last until 2am on Saturday morning.Gale-force winds between 75mph and 90mph are being felt alongside snow in some parts of the country.
