Stacey Dooley says she's 'hanging on for dear life' as she lands new BBC Three show

BBC Three.The TV star, 34, used to front Glow Up on the channel, but ended up being replaced by Maya Jama.The shake-up was said to be because of Stacey's commitments on BBC series This Is My House, but there was also talk about it being something to do with her teaming up with a beauty brand against the corporation's guidelines.Whatever went on, Stacey is now fronting BBC Three cookery show Hungry For It and she said she is thrilled about it."I'm hanging on for dear life!" she told OK!

magazine."The target audience is 16-34 and I am 35 in March, so every time I get a new show I’m thinking, 'Yay! I’m not on BBC Four yet!'"The BBC says that Hungry For It will take 10 aspiring cooks from across the UK who are looking to carve out a career in the food industry.They will have "the chance to skill up and put their talent to the test to win a life changing prize".The competitors will reportedly live together while they take part in the competition.Stacey – who won Strictly Come Dancing in 2018 with her now real-life partner Kevin Clifton - said she is "delighted" with the programme.She believes that it will really stand out from other cooking shows."I would say it's warm, celebratory and I think it feels quite fresh," she told OK!"I know everyone feels like that when it's their gig, but there are so many food shows and I really do think this one is unique."
