The hit Korean survival series, which has since become the biggest-ever TV show on the streaming platform, is valued at a ton of money for Netflix, via internal estimates as reported by Bloomberg. Click inside to read more… The series, which cost $21.4 million for nine episodes, is on track to deliver more than 40 times over that amount, making Netflix an estimated $891 million in “impact value,” via the internal data given to Bloomberg. “Impact value” is described as a measurement of a title’s economic contribution to Netflix based on subscriber viewing.
