Coldplay deliver an out-of-this-world performance on the Official Irish Albums Chart as their new album Music Of The Spheres enters at Number 1.

The band’s ninth studio album becomes their sixth to reach the summit in Ireland, and their first in seven years, since 2013’s Ghost Stories.

Coldplay’s Number 1 albums in Ireland are: A Rush Of Blood To The Head (2002), X&Y (2005), Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends (2008), Mylo Xyloto (2011), and Ghost Stories (2013).

The imminent arrival of Adele’s new album 30 sends her previous two albums 25 and 21 to Numbers 2 and 4 respectively, while her debut record 19 sits climbs to Number 21.
