Tottenham have finally announced Antonio Conte as their new manager, but only after going all 'Spursy' by tweeting the news too early and subsequently deleting the post.
With fans on tenterhooks over the appointment, pictures of the Italian holding a Tottenham shirt from this season began to do the rounds on social media.
The club accidentally announced the news using 'Twitter for Advertisers,' with the post receiving just 387 likes before it was taken down.
In another embarrassing gaffe, the post was captioned: "Bienvenido a Tottenham Hotspur, Antonio Conte", the words written in Spanish, not Conte's native Italian.
