Tomorrow night Brits may be in for a once-in-a-lifetime treat – with the SpaceX rocket launch predicted to be visible above the UK.

SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket will lift off from the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida at around 9.33pm local time in the UK. You should be able to see it – fingers crossed for clear skies – if you follow the advice in the video above.

Approximately 15-20 minutes after launch, the rocket will likely be visible from the UK, Hull Live reports. Look for a bright object travelling from West to East from around 9:45pm – the usual path of the ISS in our sky – which the rocket will be following.

The historic launch is the first crewed spaceflight from the US since the retirement of the Space Shuttle programme in 2011.
