Steven Gerrard

Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.

He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,

Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.

Southampton mascot absolutely rinsed Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta as the sides met at St Mary's on Tuesday night. The Blues had a torrid time on the south coast as Ralph Hasenhuttl's side claimed all three points.

Youngster Romeo Lavia and Adam Armstrong secured the victory after Raheem Sterling had given Thomas Tuchel's visitors the lead.It capped off a sorry evening for Chelsea, whose evening started by Azpilicueta being taken for a mug in the tunnel before the game by a devilish Saints fan.

With a big grin on his face, the young supporter turned to Azpilicueta and held his hand out, seemingly wanting a handshake.But as the Spain international smiled and held his hand out, the fan quickly drew his arm back and put his fingers on his nose to mock the Blues skipper.
