Steven Gerrard

Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.

He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,

Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.

Both Rodgers and Gerrard are under increasing pressure due to poor starts, and the pair face one another on Saturday.Leicester's clash against Aston Villa has been labelled as 'El Sackio' by fans, with both teams at the wrong end of the Premier League table.

Leicester only made two signings this summer, as finances meant that they were in for a quiet window, until Wesley Fofana was bought by Chelsea for £75m.It was only then that Leicester dipped into their pockets, and they signed Belgian defender Wout Faes for £15m from Stade Reims, but they may have to dip further into the Fofana profits should Rodgers be given the sack.
