Legislation aimed at cracking down on livestock worrying has made it to the Scottish Parliament.South Scotland MSP Emma Harper has officially introduced her bill at Holyrood where it will now be considered and go through the three-stage legislative process to become law.The Dogs (Protection of Livestock) (Amendment) (Scotland) Bill aims to increase the maximum penalty for the offence of chasing, attacking and killing livestock to a £5,000 fine or a six months suspended sentence.It will also allow courts to ban people from owning dogs, give police greater enforcement and investigative powers and also expand the definition of livestock to include animals such as llamas and alpacas.Ms Harper said: “Throughout the consultation and drafting
