Just about one year ago, I left my office on the Sony lot in Culver City around 8 p.m. on a Tuesday night, expecting to return the next morning to pick up again on the latest Sisyphean tasks.
I love that office, belonging as it did to Louis B. Mayer himself. But I have not darkened its door for some 365 days hence.
I hope to return soon but, in person or not, the work of Sony Pictures has continued for the entirety of this "year unlike any other." It has been the quintessential Tale of Two Cities: the best of times and the worst of times.
