Pogba impressed, but late in the game squandered a gilt-edged chance to nick a 1-0 victory for United — seeing his shot saved at point-blank range by Liverpool keeper Alisson.
Despite the chance costing United two points as it finished 0-0, Solskjaer was happy with Pogba's performance. "I thought Paul was absolutely brilliant today," Solskjaer told Sky Sports. "We knew he had to do a job.
