Scotland could see snow fall within the next 24 hours with temperatures falling below freezing as the country faces what could be the coldest week of the season.After heavy rain and flooding over Halloween weekend, snow could fall as early as Wednesday morning with 1cm of snow an hour falling south of Inverness, according to WXCharts.By 6pm, snow could have even reached the Scottish border - and cold temperatures mean that it is unlikely to melt away until the weekend.

Forecasters are expecting this week to be the coldest week of Autumn, reports The Express. The drop in temperatures means that Scotland could see further blankets of snow within weeks.
