Seven men were hurt following a serious crash in Salford. Firefighters using specialist cutting gear spent more than an hour freeing them from two cars involved in the smash on Regent Road.

Specialist Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) paramedics treated the casualties at the scene. Six of the casualties were all taken to hospital, some of them with serious leg and back injuries - pictures from the scene showed both vehicles suffered extensive damage in the smash.
