Sinead O'Connor has revealed that she is entering a year-long treatment programme for trauma and addiction. The singer, 53, updated her fans on Twitter on Tuesday and told that she was cancelling her upcoming tour.
She explained that she "lost someone beloved" and had endured a "traumatic six years" in a number of heartfelt messages penned from one of her two micro-blogging accounts.
Irish native Sinead also admitted that she has been "addicted to weed for 34 years" and "grew up with a lot of trauma and abuse." Sinead chose to share the message from her account that is under her Islamic name Shuhanda Sadaqat.
