Simpsons writer Marc Wilmore dies aged 57 after contracting Covid

A writer for The Simpsons, Marc Wilmore, has died after contracting coronavirus while fighting other health complications. Marc's brother Larry confirmed the sad news in a social media statement.

He wrote: "My sweet sweet brother, Marc Edward Wilmore, passed away last night while battling COVID and other conditions that have had him in pain for many years "My brother was the kindest, gentlest, funniest, lion of an angel I’ve ever known.

I love you little brother." Marc joined the writing staff on The Simpsons for the hit animated show's 13th season. And he even picked up an Emmy as producer for Outstanding Animated Programme for the episode Eternal Moonshine of the Simpson Mind in 2008.
