Shoppers are expected to spend more than £1billion online over the next 24 hours, as high street retailers launch their Boxing Day sales early for Christmas.
John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, H&M and Currys PC World are amongst those that have started their end of year sales, with 60% off lines in a last minute rush to shift unsold stock.
Sir Philip Green's Topshop and collapsed department store Debenhams have also launched last ditch sales after being plunged into administration by the pandemic.
Gift cards at Debenhams are no longer being accepted. In total, shoppers are set to spend over a billion on online sales on Christmas day.
