ok.co.ukJohn Lewis shoppers have been left fuming after discovering the Christmas jumper from their ad doesn't light up or play music in real life.Titled 'Unexpected Guest', the festive campaign dropped on Thursday 4 November and sees an alien named Skye crash-land onto earth and into the woods at the height of the Christmas period before she is greeted by a 14 year old boy named Nathan.The two-minute ad reminds viewers of experiencing Christmas for the first time after 2020 saw families isolated with lockdown restrictions.
In heartwarming scenes, Skye is introduced by Nathan to the novelties of Christmas including eating mince pies, decorating the tree with baubles and lights before she is somewhat confused by the concept of wearing garish festive.
