Yesterday fast food giant McDonald's followed in the footsteps of brands like Tesco, John Lewis, Aldi, M&S, Asda and Sainsbury's, and unveiled its Christmas advert for 2021.
In the spirit of Christmas, and like many other major brands these days, McDonald's chose to leave viewers in floods of tears.
Because what says Christmas quite like blowing your nose into a snotty tissue while simultaneously craving chicken nuggets. In the advert, viewers were introduced to a young girl called Matilda, as we watched her journey from a whimsical child bonding over Christmas rituals with her imaginary friend, Iggy, to her growing up and leaving him behind in her childhood.
