Sheffield United manager’s position uncertain.Reports on Friday morning suggested Wilder would leave Bramall Lane amid a difficult second season in the Premier League.The Blades finished ninth last season in their first year back though are currently bottom and 13 points from safety with 10 games left.Wilder was due to speak to the media at 1.30pm on Friday before that was pushed back until 5pm.The press conference was then cancelled with Sheffield United due to take on Leicester City on Sunday.The Blades explained the late cancellation was due to “circumstances beyond our control”.Wilder has already been linked with another job with reports suggesting both Celtic and Crystal Palace are open to appointing the 53-year-old as their new.
