Shane Warne's family ask for tribute to cricket legend to be changed

In the wake of his passing, former club, Melbourne Stars, announced that they would honour his memory by renaming their Great Southern Stand."I’ve just informed the Warne family that the government will rename the Great Southern Stand at the MCG — the place he took his hat trick and 700th wicket — to honour Shane and his contribution to the game," posted Premier of Victoria Daniel Andrews, in the aftermath of Warne's death."The S.K.

Warne Stand undergoes another name change. His relatives would prefer to drop his middle name, Keith, from the grandstand and that it simply be referred to as the Shane Warne Stand.
