Derek Mackay has continued to claim expenses for accommodation in Edinburgh since he resigned.Mackay quit Nicola Sturgeon's Cabinet in February after he bombarded a 16 year old boy with messages on social media.He has not been seen since at Holyrood and it unclear whether he will return to the Parliament.According to the BBC, the now Independent MSP claimed for accommodation in Edinburgh for 10 days in July.The broadcaster reported that it has seen claims filed by the Renfrewshire North and West MSP for rent totalling £327.10 in early July.
He is entitled to claim an "Edinburgh accommodation provision" and there is no rule that he must attend parliament to do so.After the messaging scandal broke, Mackay issued a statement apologising.
