Liam James Payne (born 29 August 1993) is an English singer and songwriter.
He rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction.
Payne made his debut as a singer when he auditioned for the British television series The X Factor in 2008. After being eliminated as a solo performer, he auditioned again in 2010 and was put into a group with four other contestants to form One Direction
RTÉ’s Sean O’Rourke is set to retire next month after working with the national broadcaster for almost 40 years. At 65, Sean has reached RTÉ’s compulsory retirement age and his final day on air will be 8 May, almost a year after his iconic grilling of Maira Bailey.
His interview with the former Fine Gael TD was nominated for the 2019 IMRO Radio Moment of the Year but he was pipped to the award by his fellow RTÉ colleagues on 2FM for their impeccably edited Gerry Ryan Show that was part of 2FM’s 40th birthday celebrations.
