Scottish Government announces no deaths and 2,513 covid cases in last 24 hours

The Scottish Government has confirmed that nobody has died from coronavirus in the last 24 hours. The latest figures for Scotland showed that 2,513 new cases had also been identified overnight.

According to the Scottish Government, the backlog of results being processed at the Glasgow Lighthouse laboratory has now been cleared.

It brings the death toll since last March – of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days – to 9,143.

There are currently 910 people in hospital confirmed to have the virus with 64 being treated in intensive care.The total number of positive cases since the pandemic started stands at 637,266.To date 4,317,601 people have received their first vaccination with 3,907,056 having a second
