There's never a dull day on the Scottish football news circuit but today promises to be a corker. The SPFL and SFA, alongside other key sports, are meeting with representatives from Nicola Sturgeon's Scottish government to discuss the timeframe and practicality of a phased return.
As exclusively revealed by last night, that means Premiership sides have put a discussion over ending the league now and awarding Celtic the championship on hold for up to 48 hours.
Nine of the 12 top flight teams are keen to draw a line under the campaign with FIVE sides, Kilmarnock, Motherwell, Ross County, Hamilton and St Mirren, now feeling they would not have enough players under contract to competently finish the current campaign.
