A Scottish Ballet costume designer has swapped tutus for scrubs in a bid to support NHSfrontline staff. Artist Hazel Blue, who has created stunning outfits for countless ballet and theatre productions, including Scottish Ballet, is now using her expert haberdashery skills to help health workers.
Hazel, from Milngavie, said she felt “compelled” to help after being “increasingly anxious and stressed” about the developments of the pandemic and the pressures on the health service.
She has joined the ForTheLoveOfScrubsScotland campaign headed by Mirka and Maja Jankowska, of Mirka Bridal Couture in Kirkcaldy, and Holly Baxter-Weir of Fabric Bazaar.
