Police have asked members of the public to keep an eye out for suspicious vehicles as they continue their enquiries are continuing into a series of high-value break-ins earlier this month.
Officers have received nine reports of housebreaking at addresses in Dundee, Perth, Forfar, Bankfoot, Carnoustie and Arbroath between Saturday December 4 and Monday December 13.
On each occasion a group of men broke into the homes and stole significant quantities of valuable items including jewellery and cash.
Investigators are treating the incidents as linked. The spate of robberies has alarmed local police to the extent that they have established a dedicated enquiry team to continue to investigate the thefts while the burglars remain at large.
