An 84-year-old alligator who is believed to have belonged to Nazi tyrant Adolf Hitler has died aged 84 at Moscow Zoo. British soldiers reportedly found the reptile in Berlin following the end of World War 2 before they handed it to the Soviet Union army.
Saturn, the alligator, was then taken to the capital of the Soviet Union, now in Russia, and lived at the zoo since 1946. He is believed to have been a major crowd puller in Berlin before the outbreak of the war.
It even started to circulate that the alligator was one of Hitler’s very own pets, according to Russian writer Boris Akunin.
