To try the hack you'll need a Nectar Card and a quid to spend. The nifty trick involves scanning your Nectar card and paying for just one item at the till - instead of your whole shop - and seeing if you’re given a coupon.

In her example, the shopper says she purchased something that cost £1 and was given a £4.50 voucher in return. This means she can then use this money-off coupon against the rest of her shop, or a larger spend next time she is in store.
