Russia has designed the world's biggest "doomsday bomb" which can be activated remotely, in case war breaks out between the east and the west.
The nuclear-powered Skif missile has been designed ready to use as a last resort and has the power to contaminate large areas of sea and shore with the synthetic radioactive element Cobalt-60.
The powerful bomb, which lies offshore, has a range of 6,000 miles and can travel at 60mph and is intended to send a message to the world that Russia "cannot be defeated." If detonated, the device could destroy a number of ships and poison seas around the British Isles or American coast for years.
