Desperate nightclub bosses say it is safe to reopen - as long as numbers on the dancefloor are limited and partygoers wear face coverings.
Industry chiefs fear 750,000 jobs are at risk if the nighttime sector is forced to stay closed. Now the Night Time Industries Association says a return for clubs and venues is possible as the sector reaches a "critical point".
It warns 60% of businesses could permanently close by next month if something isn't done. Now proposals by the Institute of Occupational Medicine for the nightclub industry says bouncers would patrol the inside of venues and make sure people are staying apart.
