Ronnie O'Sullivan's dad made millions running Soho sex shops before 18 years in jail

Snooker legend Ronnie O'Sullivan has a checkered past both in and out of the sport, but it pales in comparison to the history of his dad, Ronnie Snr.

The elder of the O'Sullivan's was infamously jailed for life for murder in 1992. Then aged 37, the now 67-year-old stabbed to death Bruce Bryan, a driver for notorious gangster Charlie Kray, in a Chelsea nightclub.O'Sullivan senior served 18 years behind bars before his release in 2010, which was a far cry from his former life.

He had made millions from running sex shops in Soho as his son was growing up."It was a very murky world, not one I entered out of choice — but that’s what happens when your dad is involved in an adult bookshop up the West End," O'Sullivan junior told The Sun of his upbringing.He was forced to take over the family business when his mum was also jailed with a one-year sentence for tax evasion in the 90s.
