The romantic drama Life in a Year seemed to have enough elements to draw a crowd at the box office: popular stars (Jaden Smith, Cara Delevingne), A-listers on the production team (Will and Jada Pinkett Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment) and the premise of a young man pledging to give his dying girlfriend an entire life in the year she has left.
But the Mitja Okorn-directed film also has a big fly in the ointment: two supporting players — Cuba Gooding Jr. and Chris D’Elia — who havefaced sexual misconduct allegations in recent weeks.
