Ukraine peace negotiators. The Russian billionaire took part in negotiations earlier this month between delegates from both Ukraine and Russia in an attempt to end the conflict between the nations.
However, according to the Wall Street Journal, Abramovich and several Ukrainian peace negotiators suffered from suspected poisoning following the talks.Abramovich has been present at peace talks in Moscow, Lviv and the Ukrainian capital Kiev, where he is said to have suffered the symptoms following a meeting with peace negotiators.
Along with two senior members of the Ukrainian delegation at the meeting, the Chelsea owner complained of symptoms that included red eyes, constant and painful tearing and peeling of skin on the face and hands.The report also states that the suspected attack is currently being blamed on hard-liners in Moscow, who are said to have wanted to sabotage the talks to bring the war to an end.A source close to Abramovich has said that it remains unclear who had targeted the group and that, although Abramovich has been in contact with Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelensky, he was not affected.The health of the negotiators who suffered from symptoms as well as Abramovich are understood to have since improved and their lives are not believed to be in danger.
