Chris Smalling's spell with Roma may be coming to an end as the Serie A club are reportedly unable to meet Manchester United's asking price for a permanent transfer.
The 30-year-old has enjoyed a successful season in the Italian capital, making 35 appearances across all competitions and scoring twice.
The Red Devils have set an asking price of £18.2million for Smalling - who is contracted at Old Trafford until 2022 - but Roma are only willing to pay £16.3million.
Smalling's current loan deal with Roma comes to an end in early August and Juventus, Napoli and Inter Milan are all monitoring the situation, according to Calcio Mercato .
