Manchester United will reportedly demand £20million for Chris Smalling with Roma desperate to seal a permanent deal for the defender.
Centre-half Smalling, 30, is back with United after his season-long loan deal with the Serie A side expired. But Roma are keen to take him back to Italy after an impressive campaign with the player said to be interested in making the switch.
But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still a fan of the 31-cap England international, and United are seeking a swift resolution to his future, report The Sun.
Smalling has two years left on his £130,000-a-week Old Trafford deal, with Roma paying a significant portion of his wages during his time in the Italian capital.
