Rio Ferdinand believes Arsenal would be unwise to move for Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic, as he believes the Gunners’ problems lie in other areas of the pitch.
Reports linking Jovic with a move to the Emirates Stadium emerged on Sunday with the Serbian’s future at the Santiago Bernabeu in doubt after a torrid season.
Jovic moved to the Spanish giants last summer after scoring 27 goals in a fantastic campaign with Eintracht Frankfurt. But the 22-year-old has failed to live up to his €60m price tag yet - scoring only twice for Los Blancos - and could be set for a premature departure from Real, with Arsenal monitoring the situation.
