Rio Ferdinand has been handed a six-month driving ban, after he was caught speeding 85mph in a 70mph zone.The former England footballer admitted a speeding charge today, after he was caught doing more than 70mph in a Mercedes in July last year.The father-of-three was today disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months at Crawley Magistrates’ Court, and was ordered to pay a total of £822 in fines and costs, court officials confirmed.Ferdinand, 41, was clocked having hit a speed of 85mph while behind the wheel on the A27 at Hangleton in Hove on the south coast on July 22 last year.It followed previous driving penalties after he was caught speeding in his luxury Jaguar car three times in five weeks on the same road in.
