Real Housewives of New Jersey star Margaret Josephs has confirmed the tragic death of her ex-husband Jan, aged 74.The 55-year-old reality star confirmed the news to her Instagram followers to mark what would have been his birthday.She explained: "Today would have been Jan’s 75th birthday, he passed away unexpectedly last week and a piece of us died with him.

We spoke everyday, he was my family."The star continued: "Jan was an amazing father, grandfather, friend, partner to his girlfriend, he loved everyone unconditionally, he loved Motown, working out and Italian food, but most of all he loved his family."Margaret posted a sepia snap of Jan in his younger days, sporting a cropped brunette hair style and a floral button-down shirt.She concluded: "I chose this photo not only because it was one of his favourites but because he had a youthful spirit and will be forever young."Happy Birthday my angel," she signed off.The pair tied the knot back in 1994, and welcomed a son together.
