Queen is hunting for a new maid to tend to her needs at her official Scottish residence, but may only pay them £9,880.The housekeeping assistant's job at the Palace of Holyroodhouse, Edinburgh, will pay £9.50-an-hour - the same as the new Living Wage which will come into force in April.The advertisement on the monarchy's website has two types of contracts available, one offering 40 hours-a-week and another offering 20 hours-a-week, meaning that the maximum annual salary will be £19,760.
The job description also notes that successful candidates must be willing to work on weekends. Although previous housekeeping experience is preferred, it is not essential.
