Prince Philip will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on Saturday after he passed away at the age of 99 last Friday.
The coronavirus restrictions mean that only 30 guests can attend the funeral of the late Duke of Edinburgh. But a number of traditions are likely to be upheld including meaningful jewellery worn by the Queen and Kate Middleton.
Queen Elizabeth II wore the Sapphire Chrysanthemum Brooch in a number of portraits with Prince Philip on their honeymoon at Broadlands, Hampshire, and Birkhall on the Balmoral Estate in 1947.
