Pubs in England will not reopen until July 4 at the earliest, Downing Street said today.The spokesman for Boris Johnson said thousands of boozers thirsty for a pint would have to continue to wait until next month at the earliest before they get the green light to reopen.It comes after sources told the Financial Times that June 22 had been eyed a the targeted date people could return to the boozer.
A group of ministers called the “Save Summer Six” was said to be pushing for the grand reopening date to be brought forward, with hopes people would be able to return to beer gardens across the country.
