The pub industry has launched a legal challenge against "draconian and dramatic" lockdown restrictions as the Government prepares to lay out its new traffic light system.
The three-tiered system is set to see pubs and restaurants close in the north of England - with more than a dozen nighttime economy organisations arguing it will decimate the industry.
It comes as tough new restrictions were introduced in Scotland from 6pm on Friday. Across most of the country venues are only allowed to operate indoors between 6am and 6pm and not serve alcohol.
