Prince Charles ’ friends has apologised for blaming Diana for her "mental illness and paranoia” during the so-called "War of the Waleses".

Sir Nicholas Soames, Winston Churchill’s grandson, has finally made a public plea decades after using Diana’s health against her.The former minister had said Diana only accused her then-husband, Prince Charles of cheating, because of "her mental illness" and "advance stages of paranoia".As reported by Mail Online, now 72, Charles’ childhood friend finally apologised on a recent podcast.The Tory MP said: "I regret it.

I should never have said it because I am not a doctor. And I don’t know what that is."It is always better not to get involved in these things, but I was outraged."Soames has known the heir.
