Prince Philip and the Queen have managed to keep the inscription a mystery for over 70 years.Only the Queen, the engraver and the Duke himself know what the secret message says.Royal expert Ingrid Seward discussed the ring in her new book ‘Prince Philip: Revealed’.She wrote: “At least Philip didn't have the expense of a wedding ring, as the people of Wales supplied a nugget of Welsh gold from which the ring is made.“She never takes it off and inside the ring is an inscription.“No one knows what it says, other than the engraver, the Queen and her husband.”The couple tied the knot in 1947 following an almost two-year engagement.
